Position: Canton Charge- Director, Business Operations

Number of Years with Cavaliers Holdings (Full Time): 5 years

In one or two sentences, describe your position:
I oversee and assist in all facets of business operations for the Charge including sales and service, marketing, ticket operations and guest services to help the Charge team be as effective as possible.

What is your background? How did you get to the position you currently have?
I attended Baldwin Wallace, completing a degree in Business Administration and Management. During my last semester, I held an internship with the Lake Erie Monsters, working closely with Celena Zevnik and Greg Prymicz. Shortly after graduating and the announcement of the Canton NBA D-League team, I transitioned to Canton where I have been since.

What keeps you coming back to work every day?
Canton is such a unique environment. We have a great group of people that I get to work with and with our smaller team, I really feel like I am able to impact all business operations in a positive manner every day.

What does it take to be successful in your role?
I think one of the best qualities to remember is to simply keep an open mind. This helps to promote creativity in our office, work efficiently to overcome any potential issue, and to promote the best operations in the D-League.

Do you have any advice for individuals applying for jobs with our organization?
Obviously experience in the field helps, but if that isn’t there, than a willingness to prove that you are open to learning and have a desire to make an impact in the sports community.

Where are you from originally?
I grew up in Moon, PA, a little suburb right outside of Pittsburgh.

What are your favorite hobbies?
I love to read all the time. I always have a good selection of business/sports books and mystery novels on hand. I also find it really relaxing to sit down and work on my fly tying skills for my fishing trips in Canada every summer.

What is your spirit animal?
We talk about this in the office all the time and I really can’t seem to pick something that defines me well enough. But we all have been assigned a Pokemon by Canton’s very own Pokemaster, Andrew Morrison, so I’ll go with that. He chose to assign me Arcanine for being loyal and energetic, having been with the Charge since the start and the long hours we work. Seems pretty fitting to me!
