WMJI 105.7 FM will host the 2009 Moondog Coronation Ball presented by Ameriprise Financial and your Northern Ohio Chrysler Jeep Dealers on Saturday, March 28th at 7:00 p.m. at Quicken Loans Arena. The annual concert will feature Tommy James & the Shondells, Little Richard, Three Dog Night, Herman's Hermits starring Peter Noone, and Jerry Butler. Tickets go on sale Saturday, February 7th at 10:00 a.m. The Moondog Coronation Ball kicks off a week-long series of concerts exhibits and free events celebrating the return of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductions to Cleveland on Saturday, April 4th.
Tommy James and The Shondells - broke on the scene with hit single "Hanky Panky" in 1966 and have sold over 100 million records since. Their long list of fan favorites include "Crimson and Clover," "I Think We're Alone Now" and the timeless frat party song "Mony Mony."
Little Richard - the self-proclaimed "Architect of Rock & Roll," with songs such as "Tutti Frutti," "Long Tall Sally," and "Good Golly, Miss Molly," was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1986.
Three Dog Night - who have had twenty-one consecutive Top 40 hits, are perhaps best- known for "Mama Told Me (Not to Come)," "Joy to the World" and "One."
Herman's Hermits starring Peter Noone - will have fans singing along to "Mrs. Brown You've Got A Lovely Daughter," "There's a Kind Of Hush (All Over The World)" and "I'm Henry the VIII I Am."
Jerry Butler - also known as The Ice Man, is the crooner responsible for "For Your Precious Love," "He Will Break Your Heart" and "Only the Strong Survive."

The original Moondog Coronation Ball was started by Cleveland disc jockey Alan Freed in 1952. Since 1992, WMJI 105.7 has presented the Moondog concert, a celebration of Cleveland's rock and roll heritage.
