Lauches district-wide attendance initiative within the Cleveland Metropolitan School District

Cleveland, OH - September 13, 2016 — Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® will partner with the Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) and Radio One to give back to the northeast Ohio community leading up to their October 20 – 23 performances at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.  For each ticket sold to the Friday, October 21st performance of their newly reimagined production of Out Of This World, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® will donate $1 back to Shoes and Clothes for Kids.  In addition, they will launch an incentivized attendance initiative by donating 500 FREE tickets (valued at $12,500) to the CMSD that will be used to reward schools that have the most improved attendance leading up to the show.  The class with the highest attendance will be eligible for a field trip to Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse for a special behind-the-scenes look at this brand new production!
   
Clevelanders will prepare to blast off on an intergalactic adventure for space-age family fun as the ultimate circus experience launches into the future with Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® Presents Out Of This World™.  Audiences will take the helm to join the Circus Space Fleet on a heroic quest of good versus evil that will let imaginations run wild with unexpected surprises and thrills at every turn.  Tickets go on sale July 26th to the general public.

For the first time ever, the show will feature thrill skaters in addition to the always unbelievable performances of gravity-defying acrobats, majestic animals and hilarious clowns. Imaginations will run wild throughout the nonstop display of artistic athleticism, with acts seamlessly transitioning from floor to air to ice - a feat never before done in Ringling Bros. history.

Through the lens of a magic telescope, Out Of This World transports the entire family on an unforgettable outer space journey as Ringmaster Johnathan Lee Iverson and “Circus Star Seeker” Paulo battle evil forces - the Intergalactic Circus Queen Tatiana and her bumbling henchman Davis - to return the most talented circus performers in the universe back to Earth.

Families will be amazed by the cosmic voyage storyline exploring extraordinary new worlds, and will be captivated by the twinkle in their child’s eyes as they visit far away planets of ice, fire, sand and water inhabited by gravity-defying acrobats, orbital aerialists, and fearless daredevils that will ignite wonder in Children Of All Ages®.  The newest edition of The Greatest Show On Earth® features several unique performances throughout the story including:

• Simet Family Astronauts – the only-one-of-its-kind aerial “space walk” with three astronauts balancing zero gravity maneuvers on a spinning wheel
• Heilongjiang Provincial Acrobatic Troupe – original presentation for the first time in America showcasing the mastery of skilled Chinese acrobatics (such as an 11-person human pyramid and hoop diving) – all performed on ice!
• Thrill Skaters – introducing a new genre of ice skating, combining lyrical figure skating with energetic freestyle skaters performing tricks and stunts on ice
• Sway Pole – clown entertainer Davis climbs a 47ft pole to complete a handstand 5 stories above the audience as he sways and tumbles around with a surprise ending

The technology in Out Of This World provides a multisensory experience, and video screen production enhancements deepen the connection between the audience, the performances and the performers’ journey through space. Projection technology transports fans to far-off planets throughout the galaxy and transforms the arena into a swirling space-scape. 

The free, all-new Ringling Bros. mobile app helps keep families connected before, during and after the show. The app includes exclusive content, games and more and allows fans to customize and share memories on social media, as well as unlock exclusive content during Starseeker’s Early Access™, which starts one hour prior to the show.
