2010 Gravity Slashers Tour Schedule and Riders Announced
The sport is freestyle motocross and with Gravity Slashing tricks like Cliffhangers, Sterilizers, Tsunamis, and Hart Attacks, fans are sure to be on the edge of their seats all night! These tricks may sound like accidents waiting to happen, but in reality, they’re some of the most astounding aerial acrobatics you’ll ever see.
In freestyle motocross, the name of the game is “anything goes” in this adrenaline-filled contest staged in mid-air. Riders launch their bikes off ramps that propel them towards the rafters, performing mind-bending acrobatic moves as they soar through the arena airspace. The only way to properly experience this spine-tingling sport is from the very edge of your seat as these daredevils fly high overhead.
There’s no better way to spend a weekend than to catch some high-flying freestyle motocross action as the Gravity Slashers Freestyle Motocross tour comes to The Q for one intense night of competition! The Cleveland event is the penultimate stop of the 2010 Gravity Slashers tour that will visit 16 arenas in 14 states for 26 nights of competition.
Riders will converge to battle head-to-head for the top spot on the podium. The regular home of the Cleveland Cavaliers will be transformed into a freestyle motocross playground complete with two different jumps, each measuring more than 65 feet in distance! The riders have only 45 feet to build up enough speed before hitting the ramp and propelling themselves close to 50 feet up in the air. And if that isn’t enough of a challenge, the riders will be judged on the execution of their acrobatic tricks!
World class riders from all across the United States will be competing including Brody Wilson (Templeton, Mass.), Derek Burlew (Cliffwood Beach, N.J.), Drake McElroy (Fernley, Nev.), Dustin Nowak (Mammoth Lakes, Calif.), Greg Hartman (Greencastle, Pa.), Julian Dusseau (Humbolt County, Calif.), Keith Sayers (Butte, Mont.), Nick Dunne (Redding, Calif.), and Rich Kearns (Prospect, Conn.)
