An Evening with Scott Hamilton and Friends

Nov 2 , 2013

Cleveland Clinic is proud to announce the 14th Annual An Evening with Scott Hamilton and Friends ice show and gala, planned for Saturday, November 2nd at 5 p.m. at Quicken Loans Arena. Every year, Scott Hamilton reaches out to his closest friends in the music and skating worlds to pull off a truly must-see event, which raises funds for The Scott Hamilton CARES Initiative (Cancer Alliance for Research, Education and Survivorship) and its programs including the 4th Angel Mentoring Program, and research projects.

This year’s event promises to be even more spectacular with Grammy and Tony award-winner Cyndi Lauper as the musical guest. Lauper was one of the earliest female icons to harness MTV’s influence and become a pop star. Her debut album She’s So Unusual was the first in history by a woman to have four Top Five singles. After a musical career that spanned three decades and $50 million in album sales, Lauper turned to Broadway where she composed the music and lyrics for Kinky Boots – and became the first female solo artist to win a Tony award for Best Original Score in 2013.
