Our program offers students "hands on" experience in a number of different areas. Those students selected to intern with CGAC will have the opportunity to become acquainted with the sports and entertainment industry, generally, and our organization, specifically. They will be able to prove (and improve) their abilities through various job duties and responsibilities and gain valuable experience - experience that gives students the "winning edge" when competing for positions in a highly competitive job market.

Generally, five full-time internships are available three times a year: fall semester, winter/spring semester and during the summer. Three internships are available in our Sales & Marketing area, one in Basketball Public Relations, and one in Facility Operations. Our internships are unpaid and only offered to graduate and undergraduate college students receiving academic credit for the internship. If you are chosen for an interview, you will be asked at that time to submit proof that you will receive academic credit for the internship.

The majority of departments require that students have a major in a related academic area (i.e. Cavaliers Public Relations seeks students with majors in Sports Management, Public Relations, or Communications). While freshmen and sophomores may apply, juniors, seniors and graduate students are preferred candidates because of their advanced education and training. Qualified candidates will possess strong communication and computer skills.
